Prointer America represents ROK GREEN technology in Mexico. ROK GREEN, a European developer of sustainable circular solutions, has designed an integrated industrial facility that combines mechanical plastic recycling with thermocatalytic gasification and combined heat and power (CHP).
Recyclable plastic is recovered first and turned into recycled polymer. Only the prepared fractions that cannot be mechanically recycled are converted, together with wood-based residues, into a clean synthesis gas that produces baseload electricity, usable heat and, optionally, cooling.
Material recycling comes first. Energy conversion is reserved for residues that cannot be recycled.
Incoming material is weighed, documented, inspected and sampled, so that off-specification loads are identified before they enter the process.
PE-rich flexible plastics, such as stretch, shrink and packaging film, are sorted, washed, extruded and granulated into recycled polymer.
Prepared non-recyclable residues and wood-based residual material are converted under controlled conditions into a synthesis gas, which is then cleaned and conditioned.
The cleaned gas feeds multiple modular CHP units that deliver baseload electricity and usable thermal energy for industry.
One industrial site, several value streams for the regional economy.
Recycled polymer granulate (rLDPE) for local and international plastics converters.
Continuous power for grid export, PPAs or direct supply to nearby industry.
Usable thermal energy for nearby industry, with optional cooling through absorption chillers.
Plastic and wood residues become resources instead of waste, supporting circular-economy goals.
Not an incinerator: how thermocatalytic gasification differs
| Incineration | Pyrolysis | ROK GREEN gasification | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Primary objective | Complete oxidation and waste-volume reduction | Thermal decomposition into oil, gas and char | Conversion of prepared residues into synthesis gas |
| Oxygen conditions | Excess oxygen | No oxygen | Limited and controlled oxygen, air and/or steam |
| Intermediate product | Hot flue gas | Oil or wax, gas and char | Cleanable synthesis gas |
| Energy route | Boiler and steam turbine | Upgrading or combustion of products | Gas cleaning, then controlled use in multiple CHP units |
Like any thermal energy process, the facility operates with emission control, continuous monitoring and the environmental permits required in each location.
We are identifying the first locations in Mexico for ROK GREEN facilities. If you can contribute any of the following, we would like to talk.
Large, level industrial land with suitable zoning, water, grid connection and heavy-goods, rail or port access.
Reliable, long-term sources of PE-rich plastic film and wood-based residues, from industry, logistics and agriculture.
Industrial users of electricity, heat or cooling near a potential site: food, chemicals, paper, greenhouses, cold storage or data centers.
Municipal, state and federal stakeholders and investors interested in circular-economy infrastructure.
