Prointer America

Energy Generation

Why On-Site Generation

On-Site Power Engineered for Mexican Industry

Electricity is one of the largest and least predictable costs for industrial and commercial facilities. Generating your own power protects you from tariff increases and supply interruptions, and supports your sustainability and ESG goals.

Prointer America combines generation with what we already know best: HVAC, thermal systems and energy efficiency. The result is a single system that cuts your total energy cost, not just your electricity bill.

What We Deliver

Generation Technologies

From a single rooftop to a utility-scale plant, we handle analysis, engineering, permitting, construction and commissioning.

Solar Photovoltaic

Rooftop, carport and ground-mounted solar farms: generation analysis, system layout, structural and electrical engineering, interconnection and permitting. For manufacturing plants, warehouses, industrial parks, supermarkets, hospitals and universities.

Cogeneration & Trigeneration

A single fuel source produces electricity plus useful heat and, with absorption chillers, cooling. Overall efficiency can exceed 80%. For hospitals, hotels, food & beverage, chemical and process industries, and greenhouses.

Energy Storage & Microgrids

Battery storage and intelligent energy management to cut peak-demand charges, provide backup power and store solar energy for when you need it. For critical facilities and sites with unstable grid supply.

Integrated Efficiency

Generation designed together with HVAC, heating, cooling and automation, so every kilowatt you produce is used where it creates the most value.

Technology Partner

Cogeneration & Trigeneration in Mexico, with IBALCA

For cogeneration and trigeneration projects we work with our technology partner IBALCA, a 100% Mexican engineering firm with more than 20 years of experience in cogeneration, energy savings and energy efficiency. IBALCA represents international technologies and develops thermal solutions for Latin American industry, with more than 60 absorption chillers installed and operating in Mexico and the Caribbean, in projects from 60 to 8,000 TR.

Pharmaceutical Plant · Aguascalientes

Combined heat and power with an engine generator: the engine's hot water and exhaust gases drive an absorption chiller that produces chilled water for the process, while the generator covers the plant's electricity demand.

Food Processing Plant

Recovery of process steam to produce chilled water for a food-cooking process, turning waste heat into useful cooling.

Cryogenic & Food Industries

Projects for the cryogenic industry in Veracruz and for food plants in Guadalajara and the Dominican Republic.

Special Applications

Turbine inlet air cooling and configurations with dry coolers or adiabatic systems, depending on water availability and required temperatures.

Where the energy of an engine-generator goes in a trigeneration (CCHP) system

Available resourceApprox. shareUse
Generator electricity~43%Covers the facility’s electricity demand
Engine hot water~20%Heat source for an absorption chiller (chilled water)
Exhaust gases~20%Thermal energy recovery for cooling or heating services

More than 80% of the fuel energy is put to use, and the electricity needed to produce chilled water can drop by around 80% compared with conventional electric chillers.

Waste-to-Energy

Circular Energy with ROK GREEN

Prointer America represents ROK GREEN technology in Mexico: integrated facilities that recycle plastic waste into recycled polymer and convert non-recyclable residues, through thermocatalytic gasification and CHP, into baseload electricity, heat and cooling.

How We Work

Our Process

A clear path from your electricity bills to a working, monitored system.

1. Energy Assessment

We review 12 months of electricity bills and site data to understand your consumption profile.

2. Feasibility & Financial Model

Generation analysis, system sizing, expected savings and payback.

3. Engineering & Permitting

Final layouts, structural and electrical design, interconnection and permits.

4. Construction & Commissioning

Installation, performance testing and handover.

5. Operation & Maintenance

Remote monitoring and preventive service to keep output at its peak.

Utility-Scale Solar · Chihuahua, Mexico (2015–2017)

13.6 MWac solar farm, one of the first utility-scale private self-supply solar projects in Mexico. 52,000 Tier-1 modules on single-axis trackers and an on-site switchyard sized for future phases. Long-term PPAs with an automotive-parts manufacturer and a university, financed by two development banks. Over 99% availability since 2017.

Solar Expansion Phases · Chihuahua, Mexico (2018–2022)

A 6.4 MWac expansion plus two additional phases of ~120 MW and ~80 MW on contiguous land using the existing interconnection. A term sheet was signed with a Latin American energy trader for 120 MW.

Distributed Generation · Chihuahua & Baja California

A 50 kW rooftop for a customs broker in Ciudad Juárez, a carport system at an automotive-parts plant in Cuauhtémoc, and solar systems for two children's hospitals in Chihuahua and Tijuana.

Utility-Scale Wind · Tamaulipas, Mexico (2017–2020)

Land rights secured for a 3+ GW wind development across 70,000 hectares, with a capacity factor of around 50%.

Commercial Rooftop Portfolios · Guam & Saipan (2018–2020)

More than 6 MW across three portfolios for retailers, schools, sports centers and a residential housing development. Financed non-recourse by a community bank, a first for this type of portfolio.

University Rooftop Program · Philippines (2017–2020)

An 8.4 MW distributed solar program across more than 20 university campuses, delivered in three phases.

Power Purchase Agreements (PPA): Experience of Our Team

Our leadership team has structured long-term power purchase agreements under which the client makes no upfront investment and pays a rate below the utility tariff for 10 to 25 years. In one Mexican case study, a 25-year solar PPA was projected to save the client over USD 220 million.
